The aim of this website is to condemn all forms of honor killings within our societies, especially in the Arab world. Honor killing usually takes place in rural areas of countries whose laws aren’t strict enough to forbid this, and thus the aim of this website is also to enforce laws within our governments to end this corruption. This is a major human rights abuse which must be harshly dealt with. Many young men and women are killed by their families who would rather commit murder than have a bad reputation.
Is it religion? No, as the name suggests “honor” killing is murdering someone for the sake of honor. It happens within families that represent various different religions, not just Islam, contrary to popular belief. We would like to eliminate this horrific practice altogether, and introduce better ways to fight such crimes which many people remain silent on.
Arabs and Muslims set up this website to show the world what is happening within our societies, and to reveal to our governments the severity of such cases which should be strictly outlawed. Nothing justifies the murder of innocent young individuals.
